Copyright & Usage Terms

Who owns the copyright to images and videos?

1

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, all photographs, video, audio, graphics, and other visual content created by Robert S. Becker and displayed on this website are protected by United States and international copyright laws.

Copyright in these works is owned by:

Robert S. Becker
RSB Photo Media
A DBA of RS Becker Enterprises LLC

Copyright protection applies whether or not a visible watermark, copyright notice, or embedded copyright metadata appears with an image.

© [Year] Robert S. Becker. All Rights Reserved.

Can I use the images commercially?

2

Clients may receive a limited license to use selected images for the purposes described in their proposal, estimate, invoice, contract, delivery agreement, or other written communication from RSB Photo Media.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing:

  • Copyright remains with Robert S. Becker.

  • Usage is limited to the client, purposes, media, territory, duration, and other terms specified in the license.

  • Images may not be sold, sublicensed, transferred, supplied to third parties, or used for purposes outside the original license.

  • Additional uses may require written approval and an additional licensing fee.

  • Delivery of a high-resolution file does not constitute a transfer of copyright or unlimited usage rights.

Where a written client agreement differs from this page, the terms of the written client agreement will control.

Prints and Personal Photography

The purchase of a photographic print grants ownership of the physical print only. It does not grant the purchaser the right to reproduce, scan, photograph, publish, distribute, alter, or commercially use the image.

Digital photographs licensed for personal use may not be used for advertising, business promotion, resale, publication, contests, organizational communications, political purposes, fundraising, or other commercial or public uses without additional written authorization.

Credit and Attribution

When attribution is required by the applicable license or agreement, the preferred credit is:

Robert S. Becker / RSB Photo Media

Placement and formatting of the credit should be appropriate to the medium and reasonably visible.

Providing attribution does not replace the requirement to obtain permission or a license. An unauthorized use remains unauthorized even when the photographer is credited.

Alteration and Removal of Copyright Information

Copyright notices, watermarks, credits, captions, embedded IPTC metadata, licensing information, and other copyright-management information may not be removed, concealed, or altered without written authorization.

Images may not be materially edited, manipulated, composited, filtered, recolored, or otherwise altered in a manner that misrepresents the original work, the photographed subject, or RSB Photo Media without prior written approval.

Routine resizing or proportionate cropping may be permitted when reasonably necessary for an authorized use, provided the image is not materially changed and any required attribution remains intact

What about social media and web use?

3

Images may not be downloaded from this website or another user’s account and reposted on social media without authorization.

Clients who have received social-media usage rights may post the licensed images in accordance with their written agreement. Social-media platforms may compress, resize, or otherwise process uploaded content, but such processing does not transfer copyright ownership.

Where practical, authorized social-media use should credit or tag RSB Photo Media.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Images and other content owned by Robert S. Becker may not be scraped, collected, copied, uploaded, analyzed, reproduced, or otherwise used to train, fine-tune, validate, test, develop, or operate artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems without prior written authorization.

This restriction includes the creation of generative models, datasets, synthetic images, style imitations, facial models, digital replicas, and derivative works based on RSB Photo Media content.
